After months of design, testing and refining we are proud to announce the highly anticipated launch of the Romerworld RV1. An interior built for a life on the road, with conscious design and total functionality at its core. The Romerworld RV1 is an accumulation of everything we’ve learned as professional builders of high quality interiors over the last six years, and is a celebration of our commitment and passion to our craft.

Bringing our vision for the RV1 to life

As a team of enthusiastic hikers, climbers, cyclists and ramblers the brief was simple: create something that made adventure easy. We started by stripping back the design process to ensure what we were creating “made sense”. We challenged ourselves to consider how the RV1 would be used and by who, this ensured we optimised the space and gave room to the things that matter the most. We didn’t want to create an ornament; it had to be beautifully designed and, of course, be a space you can’t wait to return to after a long day in the hills. But ultimately it needed to function perfectly as a tool for adventure.

Our plan was always ‘open plan’

The RV1’s open plan layout was designed to maximise storage without jeopardizing comfort. The cleverly designed kitchen takes full advantage of the Ducato’s width, housing a flush-mounted dual induction hob, a large 430mm x 430mm stainless steel under-mount sink, a hot and cold mixer tap and removable chopping board. The customisable Corrian* worktop is incredibly durable and brings the entire cooking area together beautifully.

Storage is maximised across the entire kitchen area, with a considered combination of cupboards, drawers and overhead cubbies. The large modular utensil drawer is located below the hob to maximise space, while the slide-out pantry gives you easy access to larger items. A dedicated space for a bin was essential, along with a 1.5m shelf designed to store frequently used items. In addition, the largest overhead cupboard also houses a hidden 50inch, pull down projector screen, ensuring entertainment for those rainy nights. The massive 85l micro compressor fridge is fitted to the centre of the unit and features a colour matched Valchromat front. Under floor heating in this section is also a real luxury on those colder mornings.

More storage, less clutter

The dining area was designed to be as versatile as possible, with numerous seating and storage configurations. Ample seating for three surrounds a modular table that can be fully removed if required or dropped down to create a lounge style seat or a third bed. Storage in this section consists of multiple drawers and open top cupboards. The raised central floor also opens up to reveal yet more storage and hidden access to some of the RV1’s key services and systems. A removable Trelino composting toilet is also neatly tucked away on the passenger side.

The perfect nights sleep

The RV1’s large pull out double bed was designed to make the transition from lounge mode to sleep mode as simple and as easy as possible. With the flick of a switch a hidden actuator aids the mechanism, helping to keep the bed light and ergonomic. On either side of the bed are three deep storage cubbies, designed specifically to store clothing and other bulkier items. Integrated charging ports and flush lighting also make this zone incredibly comfortable as you wind down for the evening.

A functional garage space

We designed the garage space to be as functional as possible. Packed with options for storing items of all shapes and sizes, it really is a space built to maximise your adventure. Via the back you also have access to your portable power system (PPS), the extremely versatile and ever-ready Bluetti Apex 300. A powerful modular system that sits at the heart of your RV1. You’ll also find access to your Hub D1 and Charger 2 components via the vented doors either side of your Apex 300 unit. In addition every RV1 comes with a high pressure hot and cold outdoor shower, which can be used not only as a regular shower but also to wash down mucky gear like your bike, boots or even your dog.

Jam packed with ‘smart’ systems

The RV1 is jam packed with smart systems that all work together seamlessly, allowing you to focus on your adventure without worrying about things going wrong. Hot water and blown air are delivered via the Truma 4DE, the industry leading appliance when it comes to high quality camper heating systems. Underfloor heating by Mi-heat Germany is incredibly reliable and offers a real touch of luxury for those early mornings. The Apex 300 system is fitted with an additional battery, effectively doubling its power storage capacity. It’s also responsible for running all of your 240V and 12V loads via the Hub D1. Solar and DCDC inputs are also managed via the smart Charger 2 component, giving you 2 ways to charge in addition to the more standard external hookup. Which is capable of charging from zero to 80% in around 45 minutes.

Every RV1 is fitted with a 5G router, giving you the opportunity to access high-quality, stable Wi-Fi anywhere in Europe. Every RV1 starts its life with a full professional Corkon application, essentially a complete internal barrier that is significantly more effective against condensation and noise transfer than its traditional counterparts. Its superior qualities make it a brilliant thermal barrier for keeping your interior climate just right.

On the outside

Every RV1 comes complete with a fully customisable roof rack at no extra cost. You can configure each rack to your required specification using our deck and support system. Giving you the flexibility to add additional solar, more gear or even a space to take in the night sky. The RV1’s fresh and grey water tanks are all externally mounted to maximise internal real estate, they are also four season ready, giving you peace of mind during colder months.

Cost and availability

The Romerworld RV1 is £82,500 + vat and includes your chosen custom options, alongside all of the high quality components, appliances and materials listed in the spec sheet available on request. Additionally, it includes a complimentary two-night “get to know your RV1” stay at a local camp ground here in the Peak District.

Every RV1 comes with a full 3 year Romerworld internal parts and components guarantee, alongside a full 5 year Fiat mechanical warranty.
